     "As you read the words upon this page, you realize that the information that you are receiving is not an attribute of the letters of the words themselves. The printed line does not contain information. It transmits information. Where is the information that is being transmitted then, if it is not upon the page?
     The same question of course applies when you read a newspaper, and when you speak to another person. Your actual words convey information, feelings, or thoughts. Obviously the thoughts or the feelings, and the words, are not the same thing. The letters upon the page are symbols, and you have agreed upon various meanings connected with them. You take it for granted without even thinking of it that the symbols -- the letters -- are not the reality -- the information
or thoughts -- which they attempt to convey.
     Now in the same way, I am telling you that objects are also symbols that stand for a reality whose meaning the objects, like the letters, transmit. The true information is not in the objects any more than the thought is in the letters or in words. Words are methods of expression. So are physical objects in a different kind of medium. You are used to the idea that you express yourselves directly through words. You can hear yourself speak them. You can feel the muscles in your throat move, and if you are aware, you can perceive multitudinous reactions within your own body -- actions that all accompany your speech.
     Physical objects are the result of another kind of expression. You create them as surely as you create words. I do not mean that you create them with your hands alone, or through manufacture. I mean that objects are natural by-products of the evolution of your species, even as words are. Examine for a moment your knowledge of your own speech, however. Though you hear the words and recognize their appropriateness, and though they may more or less approximate an expression of your feeling, they are not your feeling, and there must be a gap between your thought and your expression of it.
     The familiarity of speech begins to vanish when you realize that you, yourself, when you begin a sentence do not know precisely how you will end it, or even how you form the words. You do not consciously know how you manipulate a staggering pyramid of symbols, picking from them precisely those you need to express a given thought. For that matter, you do not know how you think.
     You do not know how you translate these symbols upon this page into thoughts, and then store them, or make them your own. Since the mechanisms of normal speech are so little known to you on a conscious level, then it is not surprising that you are equally unaware of more complicated tasks that you also perform -- such as the constant creation of your physical environment as a method of communication and expression.
     It is only from this viewpoint that the true nature of physical matter can be understood. It is only by comprehending the nature of this constant translation of thoughts and desires -- not into words now, but into physical objects -- that you can realize your true independence from circumstances, time, and environment.

     I am pleased with the beginning of my chapter, for I think I have hit upon an analogy, and a true one, that will release the reader from the artificial bondage of physical form. When he sees it as a method of his own expression, he will realize his own creativeness.

     Now, it is easy to see that you translate feelings into words or bodily expressions and gestures, but not quite as easy to realize that you form your physical body as effortlessly and unselfconsciously as you translate feelings into symbols that become words.
     You have heard the expression before, I am sure, that the environment expresses a particular individual's personality. I am telling you that this is a literal and not symbolic truth. The letters upon the page have the reality only of ink and paper. The information they convery is invisible. As an object, this book itself is only paper and ink. It is a carrier of information.
     You may perhaps argue that the book was manufactured physically, and did not suddenly erupt through Ruburt's skull, already printed and bound. You in turn had to borrow or purchase the book, so you may think, "Surely, I did not create the book, as I created my words." But before we are finished we will see that basically speaking, each of you created the book you hold in your hands, and that your entire physical environment comes as naturally out of your inner mind as words come out of your mouths, and that man forms physical objects as unselfconsciously and as automatically as he forms his own breath.

9:18 P.M. Monday

     Good evening.
     ("Good evening, Seth.")
     Now, for our book. The peculiar, particular aspects of your physical world are dependent upon your existence and focus within it. The physical universe does not contain physical objects of solidity, width and depth, for example, to those whose existence is not within it.
     Other kinds of consciousness coexist within the same "space" that your world inhabits. They do not perceive your physical objects, for their reality is composed of a different camouflage structure. You do not perceive them, and generally they do not perceive you. This is a general statement, however, for various points of your realities can and do coincide, so to speak.
     These points are not recognized as such, but they are points of what you could call double reality, containing great energy potential; coordinate points, indeed, where realities merge. There are main coordinate points, pure mathematically, sources of fantastic energy, and subordinate coordinate points, vast in number.
     There are four absolute coordinate points that intersect all realities. These coordinate points also act as channels through which energy flows, and as warps or invisible paths from one reality to another. They also act as transformers, and provide much of the generating energy that makes creation continuous in your terms.
     Your space is filled with these subordinate points, and as you will see later, these are important in

allowing you to transform thoughts and emotions into physical matter. When a thought or emotion attains a certain intensity, it automatically attracts the power of one of these subordinate points, and is therefore highly charged, and in one way magnified, though not in size.
     These points impinge upon what you call time, as well as space. There are certain points in time and space, therefore, (again in your terms), that are more conductive than others, where both ideas and matter will be more highly charged. Practically speaking, this means that buildings will last longer; in your context, that ideas wedded to form will be relatively eternal. The pyramids, for example, are a case in point.
     These coordinate points -- absolute, main, or subordinate
-- represent accumulations or traces of pure energy, minute to an extreme if you are thinking in terms of size -- smaller than any particle of which your scientists know for example, but composed of pure energy. And yet this energy must be activated. It is dormant until then -- and it cannot be activated physically.

     Now: A few clues here that might help you, or mathematicians. There is an ever-so-minute alteration of gravity forces in the neighborhood of all of these points, even of the subordinate ones, and all the so-called physical laws to some extent or another will be found to have a wavering effect in these neighborhoods. The subordinate points also serve in a way as supports, as structural intensifications within the unseen fabric of energy that forms all realities and manifestations. While they are traces of accumulations of pure energy, there is a great difference between the amount of energy available in the various subordinate points, and between the main and absolute points.

     These are points, therefore, of concentrated energy. The subordinate points are far more common, and practically speaking, affect your daily concerns. There are better places than others to build houses or structures -- points where health and vitality are strengthened, where, other things being equal, plants will grow and flourish (you mean, like Ireland?) and where all beneficial conditions seem to meet.
     Some people can sense such neighborhoods instinctively. They occur within certain angles made by coordinate points. The points obviously are not themselves physical -- that is, they are not visible, though they may be mathematically deduced. They are felt, however, as intensified energy. (Like some people, for sure.) In a given room, plants will grow more effectively in a particular area than in other areas (or grow around particular beings rather than others), providing that both areas contain such necessary requirements as light. All of your space is permeated by these coordination points, so that certain invisible angles are formed.
     This is highly simplified, but some angles will be more "on the outskirts" than others, and will be less favorable for all conditions of growth and activity. In speaking of these angles we will treat them as three-dimensional, though they are of course multidimensional. Since the nature of these angles is not the main topic of my book, it is not possible to explain them thoroughly here. They will seem to be stronger during certain times than other times, though these differences have nothing to do with either the nature of the coordinate points or with the nature of time. Other elements affect them, but we need not be concerned with these now.
     The concentrated energy points are activated by emotional intensities that are well within your normal range. Your own emotions or feelings will activate these coordinates whether you know of them or not. Greater energy will therefore be added to the original thought or feeling, and its projection into physical matter accelerated. Now this applies regardless of the nature of the feeling; only its intensity is involved here.
    These points are like invisible power plants, in other words, activated when any emotional feeling or thought of sufficient intensity come into contact. The points themselves intensify whatever activates them in a quite neutral manner.
     We are rather slow with this material (Jane Roberts & Seth), since it is new, but mainly because I would like it translated into as precise terms as possible; and without a scientific background on Ruburt's part, I must use ingenuity.

     Now: This is highly simplified, but the subjective experience of any consciousness is automatically expressed as electromagnetic energy units. These exist "beneath" the range of physical matter. They are, if you prefer, incipient particles that have not yet emerged into matter.
     These units are natural emanations from all kinds of consciousness. They are the invisible formations resulting from reaction to any kind of stimuli. They very seldom exist in isolation, but unite under certain laws. They change both their form and their pulsation. Their relative "duration" depends upon the original intensity behind them -- that is, behind the original thought, emotion, stimuli, or reaction that brought them into being.
     Again, highly simplified here, under certain conditions these coagulate into matter. Those electromagnetic units of high enough intensity automatically activate the subordinate coordinate points of which I have spoken. They are, therefore, accelerated and propelled into matter far more quickly, in your terms, than units of lesser intensity. Molecules would appear as large as planets to these units. Atoms and molecules and planets and these electromagnetic energy units are simply different manifestations of the same principles that bring the units themselves into being. It is only your relative position, your focus within an apparent space and time, that makes this seem so unlikely.
     Each thought or emotion therefore exists as an electromagnetic energy unit or as a combination of these under certain conditions, and often with the help of coordinate points, they emerge into the building blocks of physical matter. This emergence into matter occurs as a neutral "result" regardless of the nature of any given thought or emotion. Mental images, accompanied by strong emotion, are blueprints therefore, upon which a corresponding physical object, or condition, or event will, in your terms, appear.

9:14 P.M. Wednesday

     The intensity of a feeling or thought or mental image is, therefore, the important element in determining its subsequent physical materialization. The intensity is the core about which the electromagnetic energy units form. In your terms, the more intense the core, the sooner the physcial materialization. This would apply whether the mental image was a fearful one or a joyful one. Now there is a very important problem here: If your turn of mind is highly intense and you think in vivid mental emotional images, these will be swiftly formed into physical events. If you are also of a highly pessimistic nature, given to thoughts and feelings of potential disaster, then these thoughts will be quite faithfully reproduced in experience.
     The more intense your imagination and inner experience, therefore, the more important it is that you realize the methods by which this inner experience becomes physically real. Your thoughts and emotions begin their journey into physical actualization at the moment of conception. If you happen to live in an area where the coordinate environment is strong, one of those areas I have spoken of as unusually conductive, then it will seem that you are deluged by illnesses or disasters, if these are the nature of your thoughts, because all thought is so fertile in this environment. If, on the other hand, your feelings and subjective experience are fairly well balanced, fairly optimistic and creative in a constructive manner, then it will seem to you that you have been blessed with unusual luck, for your pleasant suppositions will come to pass so quickly.
     Briefly, in your own country (USA), the West Coast, portions of the East Coast, Utah, the Great Lakes, the Chicago area, the Minneapolis area, and some other southwestern areas, are in those neighborhoods of excellent coordinate activity, for the reasons given. Materialization will quickly appear, and potentials therefore for both constructive and destructive elements are high.
     These coordinate points themselves activate the behavior of atoms and molecules as, say for example, the Sun aids the growth of plants. The coordinates activate the generating behavior of atoms and molecules, and greatly encourage their cooperative abilities; their tendency to swarm, so to speak, into organizations and structural groupings.
     The coordinate points magnify or intensify the behavior, the latent spontaneity inherent within the properties of physical matter. They (the coordinate points) act as psychic generators, propelling what is not yet physical, into physical form.

     Now, this is not to be a technical book, so this is not the time nor place to discuss thoroughly the action, behavior or effects of these coordinate points; nor of the electromagnetic energy units -- those natural emanations of consciousness of which I spoke. I want it known, however, that thoughts and emotions are formed into physical matter by very definite methods and through laws quite valid, though they may be presently unknown.
     In other portions of the Seth material, these processes will be made very clear for those of you who desire to pursue the question further, or those who may be interested from a scientific point of view. Here, we are discussing such issues only because they touch upon the multidimensional aspect of personality. They allow you to materialize certain subjective experiences into three-dimensional reality. Before I leave the subject, however, let me remind you that these emanations in varying degrees rise from all consciousness, not simply your own. This includes cellular consciousness as well, so that an invisible network of electromagnetic units pervades your entire atmosphere; and upon this webwork and from it, the particles of physical matter are then formed.
     Now: A whole book could easily be written upon this subject. Information regarding the "locations" of main and absolute coordinate points could be highly advantageous, for example. You pride yourselves on your technology, and the production of durable goods, buildings and roads, yet many of these are insignificant when compared to other structures within the "past."
     A true understanding of the way in which an idea becomes physical matter would result in a complete revamping of your so-called modern technology, and in buildings, roads, and other structures that would far outlast those you now have. While the psychic reality behind physical matter is ignored, then you cannot use those methods effectively that do exist, nor can you take advantage of them. You cannot understand the psychic reality that is the true impetus for your physical existence unless you first realize your own psychic reality, and independence from physical laws.
     My first purpose, therefore, is to make you aware of the inner identity of which you are part, and to clear away some of the intellectual and superstitious debris that prevents you from recognizing your own potentialities and freedom. Then perhaps you can begin to learn the many ways in which that freedom can be used.

      I LOVE this stuff. This is a beautiful conversation. Just beautiful! Oh, the thoughts brought through here, so wonderful. For example, it were the sorcerers of Mexico, the Toltec Indians who knew that one cannot describe what "Natural" means, how to achieve or "DO" it. But that one has to have it demonstrated, and through "SEEing" one is able to feel and know just what it is that Natural Is! So the right brain is the natural and the left brain is what needs to settle itself and observe as this activity goes on, in order for the left brain to be able to remove its unnecessary fear and worry, and then isolation of itself, thinking that it needs to do this or that and perform this or that because it needs to be big and strong and oh somebawdy! It doesn't need any of that. All it needs is to be there and aware, and through observing the natural flow from right brain, it will see automatically that it is safe and cared for, and all it needs to do is to be itself, it can show its response to right brains love and care. But when it is frightened and it doesn't look, observe, then it can get lost very quickly, and there's not much one can do but wait it through until left brain has settled enough for itself to observe again, and hence communication may begin to take place.

Yes, there's so much to this beautiful conversation these two wonderfully good men have brought us. Thank you all of you.

Cosmic Order and the First Beings.

Excerpts from the book of a brilliant man... "Elder Gods of Antiquity by M. Don Schorn."

• "The First Beings were evidently, dispassionate, unmoved by emotions, at the same time acutely focused on their goal. Their contact with emerging solar systems was not an attempt to exploit, ravage, enslave, or implement any similar motives, rather, their mission was to create order, thus ensuring a universal balance ultimately in their own self-interest. Their intervention with infant races was intended to instill core values of morality, orderliness, and laws, not because such actions are noble, but because it is in everyone's best interest for universal self-preservation (that is, continuation! if you don't know what preservation means!). Spread of the Cosmic Order through such contact undoubtedly also provided raw materials necessary for the First Beings to continue their mission, providing them with some form of compensation. Their discovery of certain uninhabited planets that were deemed capable of supporting life may have also been used as 'new home worlds' for infant races that had suffered some natural devastation of their own planet."

"Evidence of initial lifeform may have occurred before our Earth even condensed into a planet or our sun became a twinkle in the night sky of a far distant world. Later, numerous other lifeforms likely also emerged in neighboring galaxies somewhere within the vastness of that infant starry sea, perhaps in numerous locations throughout the universe. Eventually, those sentient First Beings would have likely achieved an intellectual aptitude, evolving into productive creative sapient societies, growing both in knowledge and achievement. Their civilizations may have even flourished perhaps through their proficient utilization of advanced technology.

Ultimately, those First Beings would have reached a degree of development and power that could threaten their progress and perhaps even the existence of their region of space, possibly even the entire universe. Such threats might have involved pollution of their solar systems, deployment of doomsday weapons, extinction of lower species or any number of other acts that would reflect the self-centered exploits of a species ignoring the consequences of their actions.

Such selfish unconstrained actions might have intruded into unimaginable venues, without observing the physical and natural laws, perhaps completely unaware of such laws and their repercussions, with catastrophic results. Possibly their technical achievements grew faster than their moral composition, creating a permissive decadent environment incapable of recognizing their own deterioration. Or perhaps, the nature of corruption that threatened their corner of the galaxy may have simply involved acts beyond our present understanding, causing incomprehensible consequences, or some unimaginable imbalance within the universe.

Whatever act of perversion of manipulation of advanced powers, some devastating action or event caused a disruption within the continuity of universal order, resulting in chaos. Perhaps the effects of such acts even spread to nearby planets within their own solar system. Many worlds may have been destroyed, along with the vast extinction of numerous life forms. Other regions of the universe experienced similar disruptions by their earliest species. Similar ensuing chaos spread throughout the cosmos. Somewhere, one species of First Beings eventually altered such a cycle of destructive behavior and moral decay, perhaps altering the course of history, and maybe preventing total universal annihilation.

Once an enlightened level of understanding emerged from the chaos, the species of First Beings then focused their energies, skills and expertise on more altruistic pursuits. Their culture and accomplishments flourished achieving peace and tranquility through order. New levels of technology were reached, those concentrated on more beneficial pursuits with less intrusive consequences. Space exploration eventually expanded beyond their own solar system revealing numerous less developed life forms apparently on an evolutionary path not unlike their own chaotic past. They observed that the encountered primitive creatures exhibited similar patterns of flawed actions and moral deficiencies that were identical to those of the First Beings prior to their own enlightenment. Such a universal pattern revealed that any developing culture, one capable of achieving ever higher levels of technology and science, would eventually utilize their knowledge and inventions for self-centered and immature purposes, always resulting in universal disruption and chaos.

Eventually such primitive emerging species would obtain the ability to self-destruct; a potential that also jeopardized the innocent nearby worlds. Basically, all infant races would eventually reach a level of attainment, one that they were unable to fully control or understand which resulted in disruptions within the universe. Destruction of their own species and their planet followed, ultimately threatening perhaps complete universal annihilation.

In their travels, the enlightened First Beings ultimately encountered another different First Being species from a remote part of an adjacent galaxy. Over time several other dissimilar species of First Being survivors were encountered, from even further reaches of the universe. By comparing experiences, those unrelated First Beings concluded that all primitive lifeforms progress through virtually identical evolutionary stages culminating in the same self-created problems originally found within their own worlds, eventually threatening themselves and others. Such an inherent instinct for self-destruction was deemed to have been a universal affliction, that could eventually affect one or all First Being species. The minimal consequences involved warfare, environmental and biological pollution, species extermination, depletion of natural resources, and delayed or even subverted development of new advancements. The ultimate consequences could mean universal demise and annihilation of everything physical.

It was further concluded that only an extremely small fraction of emerging lifeforms would succeed in overcoming such a basic and inherent pattern, prohibiting their own evolution to higher cultural and enlightenment levels. Even then, some of those species would eventually revert back to their prior destructive ways, ultimately resulting in extinction. The extremely few surviving species followed a strict but simple code of conduct, permitting eventual evolution to higher enlightenment levels reflecting altruistic motives rather than the self-centered emotions possessed by those of doomed chaotic societies. Such a code of conduct envisioned all possible outcomes that their actions could have on the cosmos, realizing all acts have permanent consequences on everything in our universe.

The few surviving First Being species ultimately joined together in an effort to create universal harmony. They constructed a simple code of conduct that was based on their own experiences, as well as the rules utilized by the more successful cultures they had encountered. They pledged their conformity to such a code, and realized the necessity for its compliance by all emerging primitive cultures, in order to ensure the successful continuation and evolution of the universe. This code was not viewed as merely a set of laws that were to be enforced by 'catching' lawbreakers. Such secular laws were considered secondary to this code, which was a way-of-life, with certain responsibilities and rights. It was a universal paradigm, intended to control the actions and developmental direction of all emerging races, while teaching those species morality and core values. This universal code, the Cosmic Order, was adopted by all the surviving First Beings, uniting them within this common goal.

The Cosmic Order dictated that any ensuing technology developed by an infant race would be restricted by their comprehensive ability to envision the total and ultimate effects of its implementation. No conduct was allowed that focused solely on the self-interests of any one species. This code professed that the rights of a species ended when they infringed upon the rights of other lifeforms or the well being of the universe. Any nonconforming technology required containment within that planet's atmosphere, so only its inhabitants might be harmed if miscalculations occurred, without affecting other worlds. Intervention would be deemed necessary to contain such actions and inventions that could spread chaos. All First Beings pledged their life's purpose and efforts to instill within all the primitive races throughout the cosmos, their requirements for compliance and harmony with all other species under the united mantle of Cosmic Order."

Grand Mother Spider. Totem of Ancients.

      "Many stories exist about Grandmother Spider, the weaver. That she carried on her back the gift of fire in a basket. The basket was woven by her and she presented it to the People."

Haha! That's so wonderful how a story can tell so much! The Mother spider took all of Father's bright fire 'light' ideas into her basket. Then she, through her creativity, wove them into realities. Take for example a big sphere or a pie plate. You cut the pie into pieces that all reach to the center of the pie plate, and there you have many different pieces of pie. But in this explanation, you see a sphere and you see a much, many differently made realities all in the same place and all connected through the center. If you read Dr. Goldberg's work, he talks of jumping into different dimensions if you're not happy with the one you're in at the moment. And one can do that. And so, the Mother brought this aspect to the People, her children. And that is what they are doing. Discovering all the different realities there are, and building their experiences, for a beautiful and interesting future of the expression of their found abilities.

So, we're not saying that Father is a spider. Just Mother. That's a feminie description of a portion of what the Mother is about. You can't call the Mother a spider. But you can describe some of her work through that metaphor. And the spider is real because someone created it and showed it to do certain things, and so we can now see, in this universe the parts of the story that will make up the whole...eventually. The never ending story, but with ends and beginnings, always! It's so much more fun to get some rest after a long journey, and then to plan a new one, and do all kinds of other adventures again!

Some Fiction Book!

   Hilarious. I'm reading some book that some guy suggested to me because he said he had found it synchronistic to me. Well I had never even heard of the book, and being interested found it out on the net, and reading it, find it not so well written, but funny because of some of the puns the writer uses. (and yes, the synchronicity! oh my) Straight out of the 70s and into the 80s, The Rebel Angels by Robertson Davies. The Davy Jones locker, no doubt, must have got a lot of that one.

On this page (38) he really gets into the jalingo:

"degenerated into dreadful lingos like French and Spanish and Italian, and lo! people found out that quite new things could be said in these degenerate tongues -- things nobody had ever thought of in Latin. English is breaking down now in the same way -- becoming a world language that every Tom Dick and Harry must learn, and speak in a way that would give Doctor Johnson the jim-jams."

Hahahaaa... sorry. Continuing:

"Received Standard English has had it; even American English, that once seemed such an impertinent johnny-come-lately in literature, is fusty stuff compared with what you will hear in Africa, which is where the action is, in our day. But I am indulging myself -- a bad professorial habit. You must check me when you see it coming on. To work, then. May I assume that you all know the Greek alphabet, and therefore can count to ten in Greek? Good. Then let's begin with changes there."
     I knew I was going to like Prof. the Rev. Darcourt. He seemed to think that learning could be amusing, and that heavy people needed stirring up. Like Rabelais, of whom even educated people like Parlabane (and bane is the right word for that character!) had such a stupid opinion. Rabelais was gloriously learned because learning amused him, and so far as I am concerned that is learning's best justification. Not the only one, but the best.
     It is not that I wanted to know a great deal, in order to acquire what is now called expertise, and which enables one to become an expert-tease to people who don't know as much as you do about the tiny corner you have made your own. I hoped for a bigger fish; (hilarious) I wanted nothing less than Wisdom. In a modern university if you ask for out-of-fashion things they may say, like the people in shops, 'Sorry, there's no call for it.' But if you ask for Wisdom -- God save us all! What a show of modesty, what disclaimers from the men and women from whose eyes intelligence shines forth like a lighthouse. Intelligence, yes, but of Wisdom not so much as the gleam of a single candle.
